"I
never did any sort of fighting before, so I was a little intimidated
by it. But after my
first Krav Fight class I was hooked."

"I
really like the No-Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu taught at KMSO. I don't want
my technique to hinge
on what my opponent or I am wearing."

"I
did kick boxing for six years before I started Krav. I had no ground
game
what so ever. Now I do."

Intro To Fight: This
beginning level fight class is designed for those students who
want to experience fighting in a step by step, methodical, non-intimidating
fashion. Partners always work at the least advanced person's
abilities. We work to build our partners up. You will be brought
along slowly until you are accustomed to the contact that occurs
in a fight. There is some degree of contact in every class, beginning
with minimal contact the first few weeks, and ending with controlled
full sparring at the end of the course. You will be wearing boxing
headgear, boxing gloves, shin guards, mouth guard and groin protector.
You will learn the essential strikes, blocks,
and movements of Krav Maga Street Fighting.
This class concentrates on stand up
fighting and striking. The first five weeks you
will use your hands only, to hone the boxing
skills you are being taught. The
last five weeks you will incorporate your
feet into your game and bring both skills together.
The class format is different from other classes
at The Center in that it has a start and end
date and lasts ten weeks. Students
are encouraged to start classes on the first
day because each week builds on the previous
week. After you have completed the ten week
cycle you may participate in any Intro to Fight
Class. Some of our students
have gone through
this class a dozen times. They love it!

| ------------------------------------------------ |
| Fight 1: This class is designed
for students who understand and can perform the
basic mechanics of fighting: movement, basic punches,
kicks, combinations, and
defense against attacks. In Fight 1, you will continue
to sharpen these skills in a faster paced environment
than the Intro Fight
class, with more sparring and a slightly higher
level of contact. You will work take downs and take
down defense, stand up fighting
and ground fighting. You will be taught to combine
all your training to become a complete fighter. |
------------------------------------------------ |
Ground Fight: This is straight
up No-Gi (without traditional uniform) Brazilian
Jiu Jitsu for the street, taught by Gracie Black Belt
Richard Bresler.
Although Krav Maga does offer very effective ground
fighting techniques in Krav Maga classes, this class
is designed to focus only on grappling.
You will learn escapes from various holds and positions,
as well as offensive moves such as joint locks and
submissions. You will
be taught techniques like Triangle Chokes, Armbars
and Heel Hooks. You will have fun rolling (sparring)
and working all the
new moves you learn is this class. |
